Happy National 'Smores Day (August 10th)
Well, you just had to know that there was a national 'smores day. We went camping last weekend in Yosemite and did our part to eat 'smores. Someone brought marshmallows from Mexico about the size of a large hampster. Seriously, they were about 3" in diameter. AND PINK! I tried one and noticed that they were strawberry flavored. I was too chicken to make a 'smore out of one, but others were not so timid. My brilliant idea of making scoop shaped graham crackers in order to hold in all the love was trumped by the idea of making short rectangular marshmallows so we don't have the "fulcrumb" problem. Brilliant!
We had a great time. That is until two of our vehicles started running out of gas, and we all had to pile into the remaining ones.

Sunset at Half Dome was amazing. Yes, it changes colors, and yes everyone was oooooing and ahhhhing at the sight. You'd think they'd never seen God's hand at work before. ;-)

I did manage to get some more feet pictures for my office wall. I can't wait to take feet pictures in front of the Ancient sites of Greece!

Next year? I'm thinking about the TransAtlantic crossing aboard the QE2. Not bad for someone who was determined to never leave the country just a few years ago. I'm also thinking about Dutch Pennsylvania. Omish country. I have a lead on a working farm where I can milk cows and gather eggs in the morning. It'll be nice to see if I can live like that. The oxymoron is that I'm telling you this from my computer via the Internet. LOL.
