Skype'd

After much procrastination, I finally signed up.

[BROKEN RULE ALERT]

I had originally put in a nifty bubble that you could click on to call me from your Skype phone, but then quickly realized that this is a new spam avenue, so I removed it. I know I have this rule about never backspacing an entry that has already gone out, but I needed to make this exception. Feel free to call me if I'm online though -johnnycolino.

Symbols of freedom

Before you get puzzled about why I would consider a manhole cover as a symbol of freedom, consider those countries where the basics of infrastructure are missing because of oppressive and corrupt leadership. Many countries I've been to don't have indoor plumbing, and if they do, it's primitive. Men have fought and died to be governed by a government of the people (statue of liberty) by the people (free market stock exchange) and for the people (sewers).

Yesterday, we remembered those who gave their all in defense of these basics. I believe that America can be great again. God bless and save America.

Trade ya'

Hi, I'm in New York (Sleepy Hollow) right now, but I still need to sell my hot tub and put in my floors. Well, I'm not sure if I can really do either, but hey - does anyone want to buy my hot tub?

Here's my floor idea so far. I'm thinking of a honey or natural solid oak floor with a South American cherry border.

Enter the one-legged man

I'm looking at my calendar and wondering when I'm going to be able to come up for air. I've been taking pictures of the destruction of my new house, but haven't copied them over yet. I tore out the big cabinets in the dining room and I'm looking to replace it with a built in armoire that fits the scale of the room better.

Maybe something like this...

... but for dishes and not books. and maybe not white, and smaller, and - well -- o.k. maybe nothing like these pictures. :-)
